5 The LORD says:

"Cursed is the man who trusts in man,

relies on strength of flesh,

and whose heart departs from the LORD.

1 "Man, who is born of a woman,

is of few days, and full of trouble.

1 Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

17 What is man, that you should magnify him,

that you should set your mind on him,

15 having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace,

45 So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.

6 But one has somewhere testified, saying,

"What is man, that you think of him?

Or the son of man, that you care for him?

7 For that man shouldn’t think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

24 A man’s steps are from the LORD;

how then can man understand his way?

26 God said, "Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.

1 The plans of the heart belong to man,

but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

8 They heard the LORD God’s voice walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

21 For the ways of man are before the LORD’s eyes.

He examines all his paths.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.

22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

17 ‘Shall mortal man be more just than God?

Shall a man be more pure than his Maker?

12 Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; so death passed to all men, because all sinned.
