1 I exhort then, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men;
2 including kings and all who are in high station, in order that we may live peaceful and tranquil lives with all godliness and gravity.
3 This is right, and is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour,
12 So that the Law itself is holy, and the Commandment is holy, just and good.
50 Salt is a good thing, but if the salt should become tasteless, what will you use to give it saltness? Have salt within you and live at peace with one another.«
4 For everything that God has created is good, and nothing is to be cast aside, if only it is received with thanksgiving.
5 For it is made holy by the word of God and by prayer.
17 Every gift which is good, and every perfect boon, is from above, and comes down from the Father, who is the source of all Light. In Him there is no variation nor the slightest suggestion of change.
2 And do not follow the customs of the present age, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your minds, so that you may learn by experience what God's will is–that will which is good and beautiful and perfect.
16 Therefore do not let the boon which is yours in common be exposed to reproach.
