Filhos

4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let these learn first to show piety towards their own homes and to prove their gratitude to their parents; for this is well pleasing in the sight of God.

21 A woman, when she is in labour, has sorrow, because her time has come. But when she has given birth to the babe, she no longer remembers the pain, because of her joy at a child being born into the world.

52 Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was always obedient to them; but His mother carefully treasured up all these incidents in her memory.

1 Children, be obedient to your parents as a Christian duty, for it is a duty.

2 »Honour your father and your mother« –this is the first Commandment which has a promise added to it–

3 »so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.«

14 Jesus, however, on seeing this, was moved to indignation, and said to them, »Let the little children come to me: do not hinder them; for to those who are childlike the Kingdom of God belongs.

7 The sufferings that you are enduring are for your discipline. God is dealing with you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

8 And if you are left without discipline, of which every true son has had a share, that shows that you are bastards, and not true sons.

11 If you then, imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

1 See what marvellous love the Father has bestowed upon us –that we should be called God's children: and that is what we are. For this reason the world does not recognize us– because it has not known Him.

21 Fathers, do not fret and harass your children, or you may make them sullen and morose.

4 And you, fathers, do not irritate your children, but bring them up tenderly with true Christian training and advice.

20 Children be obedient to your parents in everything; for that is right for Christians.
