11 For I know the thoughts which I am planning for you, says Jehovah; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so persistently harasses us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,
31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
16 All Scripture is breathed by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
14 In the absence of counsel the people fall, but there is safety in the abundance of counselors.
1 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.
3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
5 At Gibeon Jehovah appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, Ask; what shall I give you?
6 And Solomon said: You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son sitting on his throne, as it is this day.
7 Now, O Jehovah my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.
8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a people too numerous to be numbered or counted for multitude.
9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?
10 And the word was good in the eyes of Jehovah, that Solomon had asked this thing.
11 And God said to him: Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,
12 behold, I have done according to your words; behold, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.
1 He that separates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound wisdom.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may reveal itself.
3 When the wicked comes, contempt also comes, and with dishonor comes reproach.
4 The words of a mans mouth are like deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is like a flowing stream.
5 It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, nor to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
6 A fools lips enter into strife, and his mouth calls for strokes.
7 A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
8 The words of a talebearer are gulped down, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
9 He, also, who is slothful in his work is brother to a ruler who destroys.
10 The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; the righteous one runs into it and is safe.
11 The rich mans wealth is his strong city, and as a high wall in his own imagination.
12 Prior to shattering, the heart of man is haughty; and before honor is humility.
13 He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a stricken spirit?
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
33 The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposition of it is from Jehovah.
9 Then his wife said to him, Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!
10 But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. Shall we indeed receive good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
