9 On the first day of the first month he began his journey from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of Jehovah, and to do it, and to teach the statutes and ordinances in Israel.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things are so.
5 And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, exceedingly in every way.
6 And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart.
7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may take heed to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
7 I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous Judgments.
1 My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commandments,
2 for they shall add length of days and long life and peace to you.
9 BETH: How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought You; O let me not wander from Your Commandments!
11 Your Word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Jehovah! Teach me Your Statutes!
13 With my lips have I declared all the Judgments of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your Testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your Precepts, and pay attention to Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your Statutes; I will not forget Your Word.
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that we through the patience and encouragement of the Scriptures might have hope.
13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is breathed by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
105 NUN: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
24 Jesus answered and said to them, Are you not therefore in error, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?
1 The Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to discern the words of understanding;
3 to receive instruction in wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young man.
5 The wise hears and increases learning, and the one of understanding gets wise counsel,
6 to understand a proverb and an enigma; the words of the wise, and their difficult sayings.
17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware also that you not be led away with the error of the wicked, and fall from your own steadfastness.
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your sons.
97 MEM: O how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 You, through Your Commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are always with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your Testimonies are my meditation.
10 Of this salvation the prophets have sought out and searched diligently, who prophesied concerning the grace towards you,
11 searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glories after these things.
20 To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.
18 It shall also be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this Law in a book, from the one that is before the priests, the Levites.
19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the Words of this Law and these statutes, to do them;
20 that his heart may not be lifted up above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons in the midst of Israel.
13 Take fast hold of instruction, do not let her go; keep her, for she is your life.
23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of Me.
