13 One who goes around with slander reveals secrets, but the faithful spirit keeps the matter covered.
19 In the abundance of words there is no end of transgression, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.
22 Without counsel, plans are frustrated, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
7 And when you pray, do not babble vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
15 Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and reprove him between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
1 Oh, give thanks unto Jehovah! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the people!
8 Open your mouth for the mute, for the judgment of all those sentenced to destruction.
1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
12 The words of a wise mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow him up.
3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, in order that you may inherit blessing.
23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word in due season, how good it is!
3 He who watches his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide shall have destruction.
36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a flawless man, able also to bridle the whole body.
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it is a break in the spirit.
28 Even a fool, when he is silent, is counted wise; and he who shuts his lips, as a man of understanding.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8 Let my mouth be filled with Your praise, with Your glory all the day.
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for the business of building up, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
