15 And he who strikes his father or his mother shall be executed to death.
15 The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a lad set loose brings shame to his mother.
1 A wise son hears his fathers instruction, but a scorner does not heed rebuke.
8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother;
9 for they shall be an ornament of grace to your head, and chains around your neck.
17 The eye that mocks his father and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
20 My son, keep your fathers commands, and do not forsake the instruction of your mother.
21 Bind them perpetually to your heart; tie them around your neck.
22 When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall watch over you; and when you awake, it will speak with you.
23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not obey them,
19 then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his place.
20 And they shall say to the elders of his city, This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.
21 Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; thus you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.
1 Children, hear the instruction of a father, and pay attention to know understanding,
2 for I give you good teaching; do not forsake my law.
3 For I was my fathers son, tender and an only one in the sight of my mother.
4 And he taught me and said to me, Let your heart cling to my words; keep my commandments and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.
6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you.
16 Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with you in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise:
3 that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
4 For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and your mother; and, He who curses father or mother, let him die the death.
12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which Jehovah your God is giving you.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
