16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
3 Talk no more so very proudly; let no arrogance come out of your mouth, for Jehovah is the Mighty God of knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed.
2 Pride comes, then comes shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or self-glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others as surpassing himself.
4 Let each of you not look out for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
12 Prior to shattering, the heart of man is haughty; and before honor is humility.
7 But Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look at his appearance nor at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For man does not see as He sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Jehovah looks at the heart.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he is firmly established take heed that he not fall.
23 A mans pride shall bring him low; but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.
25 Jehovah will destroy the house of the proud, but He will establish the territory of the widow.
10 By pride comes nothing but strife, but with those who deliberate is wisdom.
16 For all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; is not of the Father but is of the world.
17 But he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.
18 For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
5 Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah; though hand join in hand, he shall not go unpunished.
2 For all those My hand has made, and all those exist, says Jehovah. But to this one will I have regard: To the lowly and contrite of spirit, and the one who trembles at My Word.
11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.
5 Likewise you that are younger, be subject to your elders. Yes, all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you.
9 Let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as the flower of the field he will pass away.
25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.
23 A mans pride shall bring him low; but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.
2 Pride comes, then comes shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.
11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
28 and the low-born of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
29 that no flesh should boast in His presence.
3 And if I were to bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I were to give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
20 And He said, What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual perversions, murders,
22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
12 Prior to shattering, the heart of man is haughty; and before honor is humility.
18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
4 By humility and the fear of Jehovah are riches and honor and life.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
