A Paixão de Cristo

14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

15 and set free those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

3 He is despised and rejected by men; a Man of pain, and knowing infirmity; a hiding of faces; being despised, we have esteemed Him not.

4 Truly He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth;

23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself over to Him who judges righteously;

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

55 And the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none.

17 Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.

18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it again. This precept I have received from My Father.

8 And being found comprised as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

38 And He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death. Stay here and watch with Me.

21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
