20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from these, he will be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
8 But now, O Jehovah, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the One who forms us; and we all are the work of Your hand.
9 Woe to him who strives with the One who formed him, a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to the one who forms it, What are you making? Or your work, He has no hands?
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not from us.
23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a broken piece of pottery overlaid with silver dross.
8 Your hands have made me and fashioned me together all around; yet You swallow me up.
9 Remember, I beseech You, that You have made me like clay. And will You bring me back and return me to dust?
1 The Word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
2 Arise and go down to the potters house, and there I will cause you to hear My Words.
3 Then I went down to the potters house, and, behold, he was fashioning an object on the wheel.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was ruined in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 Then the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
6 O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter? says Jehovah. Behold, as the clay is in the potters hands, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.
20 No, rather, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, Why have you made me like this?
21 Does not the potter have authority over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?
2 The precious sons of Zion, weighed against refined gold, are counted as earthen vessels, the work of the hands of the potter!
16 O your perversity! Shall the former be esteemed as the potters clay; for shall the product say of him who made it, He did not make me? Or shall the thing formed say to him who formed it, He has had no understanding?
34 Howl, you shepherds, and cry! Wallow in the ashes, you majestic ones of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and of your scattering are fulfilled; and you shall fall like a delightful vessel.
