Marido e Mulher

9 The two [are] better than the one, in that they have a good reward by their labour.

10 For if they fall, the one raiseth up his companion, but wo to the one who falleth and there is not a second to raise him up!

11 Also, if two lie down, then they have heat, but how hath one heat?

12 And if the one strengthen himself, the two stand against him; and the threefold cord is not hastily broken.

1 In like manner, the wives, be ye subject to your own husbands, that even if certain are disobedient to the word, through the conversation of the wives, without the word, they may be won,

2 having beheld your pure behaviour in fear,

4 A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband, And as rottenness in his bones [is] one causing shame.

22 The wives! to your own husbands subject yourselves, as to the Lord,

23 because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the assembly, and he is saviour of the body,

24 but even as the assembly is subject to Christ, so also [are] the wives to their own husbands in everything.

27 And God prepareth the man in His image; in the image of God He prepared him, a male and a female He prepared them.

10 and to the married I announce -- not I, but the Lord -- let not a wife separate from a husband:

11 but and if she may separate, let her remain unmarried, or to the husband let her be reconciled, and let not a husband send away a wife.

1 And concerning the things of which ye wrote to me: good [it is] for a man not to touch a woman,

2 and because of the whoredom let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her proper husband;

3 to the wife let the husband the due benevolence render, and in like manner also the wife to the husband;

4 the wife over her own body hath not authority, but the husband; and, in like manner also, the husband over his own body hath not authority, but the wife.

5 Defraud not one another, except by consent for a time, that ye may be free for fasting and prayer, and again may come together, that the Adversary may not tempt you because of your incontinence;

7 The husbands, in like manner, dwelling with [them], according to knowledge, as to a weaker vessel -- to the wife -- imparting honour, as also being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

15 And, if the unbelieving doth separate himself -- let him separate himself: the brother or the sister is not under servitude in such [cases], and in peace hath God called us;

16 for what, hast thou known, O wife, whether the husband thou shalt save? or what, hast thou known, O husband, whether the wife thou shalt save?

33 but ye also, every one in particular -- let each his own wife so love as himself, and the wife -- that she may reverence the husband.

24 therefore doth a man leave his father and his mother, and hath cleaved unto his wife, and they have become one flesh.

18 The wives! be subject to your own husbands, as is fit in the Lord;

19 the husbands! love your wives, and be not bitter with them;

18 And Jehovah God saith, Not good for the man to be alone, I do make to him an helper -- as his counterpart.

14 House and wealth [are] the inheritance of fathers, And from Jehovah [is] an understanding wife.

5 When a man taketh a new wife, he doth not go out into the host, and [one] doth not pass over unto him for anything; free he is at his own house one year, and hath rejoiced his wife whom he hath taken.

10 A woman of worth who doth find? Yea, far above rubies [is] her price.

11 The heart of her husband hath trusted in her, And spoil he lacketh not.

2 for the married woman to the living husband hath been bound by law, and if the husband may die, she hath been free from the law of the husband;

15 And He did not make one [only], And He hath the remnant of the Spirit. And what [is] the one [alone]! He is seeking a godly seed. And ye have been watchful over your spirit, And with the wife of thy youth, None doth deal treacherously.

18 Let thy fountain be blessed, And rejoice because of the wife of thy youth,

19 A hind of loves, and a roe of grace! Let her loves satisfy thee at all times, In her love magnify thyself continually.

25 The husbands! love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it,

26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed [it] with the bathing of the water in the saying,

27 that he might present it to himself the assembly in glory, not having spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished;

28 so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife -- himself he doth love;

29 for no one ever his own flesh did hate, but doth nourish and cherish it, as also the Lord -- the assembly,

4 And he answering said to them, Did ye not read, that He who made [them], from the beginning a male and a female made them,

5 and said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they shall be -- the two -- for one flesh?

6 so that they are no more two, but one flesh; what therefore God did join together, let no man put asunder.

22 [Whoso] hath found a wife hath found good, And bringeth out good-will from Jehovah.
