13 greater love than this hath no one, that any one his life may lay down for his friends;
26 for as often as ye may eat this bread, and this cup may drink, the death of the Lord ye do shew forth -- till he may come;
28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things now have been finished, that the Writing may be fulfilled, saith, I thirst;
29 a vessel, therefore, was placed full of vinegar, and they having filled a sponge with vinegar, and having put [it] around a hyssop stalk, did put [it] to his mouth;
30 when, therefore, Jesus received the vinegar, he said, It hath been finished; and having bowed the head, gave up the spirit.
51 and lo, the vail of the sanctuary was rent in two from top unto bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks were rent,
52 and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who have fallen asleep, arose,
53 and having come forth out of the tombs after his rising, they went into the holy city, and appeared to many.
54 And the centurion, and those with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were exceedingly afraid, saying, Truly this was Gods Son.
16 in this we have known the love, because he for us his life did lay down, and we ought for the brethren the lives to lay down;
2 and he -- he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world,
16 for God did so love the world, that His Son -- the only begotten -- He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised up out of the dead, doth no more die, death over him hath no more lordship;
10 for in that he died, to the sin he died once, and in that he liveth, he liveth to God;
11 I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd his life layeth down for the sheep;
33 And the sixth hour having come, darkness came over the whole land till the ninth hour,
34 and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a great voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?
16 And to the dust of death thou appointest me, For surrounded me have dogs, A company of evil doers have compassed me, Piercing my hands and my feet.
17 I count all my bones -- they look expectingly, They look upon me,
18 They apportion my garments to themselves, And for my clothing they cause a lot to fall.
7 All beholding me do mock at me, They make free with the lip -- shake the head,
8 Roll unto Jehovah, He doth deliver him, He doth deliver him, for he delighted in him.
10 for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life.
8 and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death -- death even of a cross,
22 Men, Israelites! hear these words, Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God among you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs, that God did through him in the midst of you, according as also ye yourselves have known;
23 this one, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, being given out, having taken by lawless hands, having crucified -- ye did slay;
24 whom God did raise up, having loosed the pains of the death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it,
33 and when they came to the place that is called Skull, there they crucified him and the evil-doers, one on the right hand and one on the left.
34 And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they have not known what they do; and parting his garments they cast a lot.
35 And the people were standing, looking on, and the rulers also were sneering with them, saying, Others he saved, let him save himself, if this be the Christ, the choice one of God.
36 And mocking him also were the soldiers, coming near and offering vinegar to him,
37 and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38 And there was also a superscription written over him, in letters of Greek, and Roman, and Hebrew, This is the King of the Jews.
39 And one of the evil-doers who were hanged, was speaking evil of him, saying, If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us.
40 And the other answering, was rebuking him, saying, Dost thou not even fear God, that thou art in the same judgment?
41 and we indeed righteously, for things worthy of what we did we receive back, but this one did nothing out of place;
42 and he said to Jesus, Remember me, lord, when thou mayest come in thy reign;
43 and Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day with me thou shalt be in the paradise.
27 and as it is laid up to men once to die, and after this -- judgment,
28 so also the Christ, once having been offered to bear the sins of many, a second time, apart from a sin-offering, shall appear, to those waiting for him -- to salvation!
3 are ye ignorant that we, as many as were baptized to Christ Jesus, to his death were baptized?
4 we were buried together, then, with him through the baptism to the death, that even as Christ was raised up out of the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we in newness of life might walk.
5 And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace [is] on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us.
6 All of us like sheep have wandered, Each to his own way we have turned, And Jehovah hath caused to meet on him, The punishment of us all.
7 It hath been exacted, and he hath answered, And he openeth not his mouth, As a lamb to the slaughter he is brought, And as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, And he openeth not his mouth.
23 The soldiers, therefore, when they did crucify Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to each soldier a part, also the coat, and the coat was seamless, from the top woven throughout,
24 they said, therefore, to one another, We may not rend it, but cast a lot for it, whose it shall be; that the Writing might be fulfilled, that is saying, They divided my garments to themselves, and upon my raiment they did cast a lot; the soldiers, therefore, indeed, did these things.
25 And there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mothers sister, Mary of Cleopas, and Mary the Magdalene;
26 Jesus, therefore, having seen [his] mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he was loving, he saith to his mother, Woman, lo, thy son;
27 afterward he saith to the disciple, Lo, thy mother; and from that hour the disciple took her to his own [home].
